Fred Solomon

Fred Solomon was an early landowner in Topanga Canyon. His widow donated two Topanga parcels of about 70 acres each to Pepperdine. The land was worth about $500,000 at the time. In 1972, Pepperdine considered building 140 condominiums to house Malibu faculty on one of the plots.1 The condos were never built.
